THE PRODUCTS ARE COOL AND BRING HAPPINESS
Textiles and industry have been familiar to me from a young age. Textile production is a defining part of my hometown, Tilburg. But what can you actually do with that as someone from Tilburg?
I discovered the answer during a trip to Ibiza. There, I worked on an ecological farm and learned a lot about reusing materials and treating the world with care. I started researching how to produce textiles sustainably.
I regularly visited the Textile Museum in Tilburg.
I bought my own loom and learned how to manually card and spin sheep’s wool on the island of Terschelling. I became increasingly connected to the idea that clothing production can and must be more mindful.
That became my mission. At the same time, I was searching for my own happiness and how I could share that with others. I took courses on mindfulness, communication and on truly listening to people’s needs. The goal became to translate my experiences into a product that is connected to nature. A product that has as little environmental impact as possible.
GIVING TRUST
The world has changed. There is more control, and we’ve become more aware of life, of how we live, and how we use our time as wisely as possible. For me, being outside is essential. While developing FAM Lifestyle, I often stayed close to nature.
I paid close attention to the changing seasons, how nature moves, and how weather conditions affect my wellbeing and emotions. I translate these experiences into tangible products like sweaters, t-shirts, and hoodies.
I gathered a small group of professionals around me to help turn ideas into quality products. Defining the target group, designing the logo, and creating a long-term marketing plan went hand-in-hand with developing the actual items.
Today, production takes place in a sewing studio in the Netherlands, near Volendam. A beautiful collection has now been created, with room for personalized customer input.
The goal is to make a truly beautiful product that brings joy to the customer.
An honest product that makes people happy.
Colorful and lively
The soft fabrics and fine finishes brighten up daily life. The color combinations are carefully chosen and represent elements from nature things you see when you’re outdoors, often without noticing them.
A sunrise seems so ordanairy
As a true sun lover, I’ve spent long periods focusing solely on the sun and moon and their relationship to Earth. They continuously move around each other. And it’s so normal the sun rises every morning and sets every evening.
The color tones in the textiles aim to capture moments in time and are inspired by weather conditions or special moments during the day.
